Science Fair Projects

Text Box: Dear Parents /Guardians, 01 / 26 / 09 The 4th, 5th, and 6th grade students at the Jefferson – Morgan Elementary School will be participating in a Science Fair on Wednesday, April 22, 2009, which will be open to the public. In addition to Science Fair projects, students will also participate in a multimedia project with Mrs. Rebecca Frank, Elementary Art Teacher. More detailed information about this project will be sent home at a later date. Individual science projects are mandatory for 5th and 6th grade students. However, in order to introduce 4th grade students to the process of completing a project based upon the scientific method, they will submit mandatory “group” projects which will be conducted and completed in class. Mrs. Starostanko will determine the project groups. Group project proposals will be submitted and approved by Mrs. Starostanko in class. All students in 5th and 6th grade must submit a science project proposal to their science teacher no later than Tuesday, February 10, 2009. NO SCIENCE PROJECT SHOULD BE STARTED UNTIL IT HAS BEEN APPROVED BY MRS. FADDIS or MRS. PRICE !! Text Box: Students created a time line from the time of the building of the ship until it sank using dates and times of the day for the a time line.  They worked in cooperative learning teams during Math classes for this activity.
