Scot Moore, Athletic Director

Scot has worked in the education field for over 35 years and is in his 20h year as Athletic Director for the Jefferson Morgan School District. 
 
Scot is a graduate of West Greene High School and earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Waynesburg College. He also served as the Jefferson-Morgan Drama Director, on and off, for 15 years. 
 
Mr. Moore also has an extensive coaching resume, including coaching stints at West Greene, Waynesburg Central, Waynesburg College, and here at Jefferson-Morgan. In 1999-2000, he led West Greene Girls Basketball to a section title. He was also a member  of the football coaching staff during the Waynesburg High School Championship seasons in 1999 and 2000. Scot has also has been a head coach in softball and volleyball at JM, coaching from 2000-2007 in softball and one season in volleyball (2011).
 
Mr. Moore is very active in the WPIAL and the PIAA as currently serves on the WPIAL’s Executive Committee, a position he has held since 2010. He has been a member of the WPIAL Softball Committee for the past 16 years and has served as the committee chair since 2018. He also holds a position on the PIAA Softball Rules Committee. He is the past President and Vice-President of the TRICADA (Tri-County Athletic Director’s Association) and is the current President of the Greene County Athletic Directors Association. Scot also won the Dick Kohl Memorial Award in 2014 and in 2023, as Athletic Director of the Year.
 
Scot and his wife Lisa live in Waynesburg, Pennsylvania. They have four children, Jillian, Justin, Christopher and Ashley, all of whom are grown. They have four grandchildren (Elodie, Henry, August, Clay, and Cayson). Scot is an avid golfer and enjoys spending time with his grandchildren.
