Jefferson-Morgan Athletics: Important Event Guidelines and Spectator Expectations
Hello Jefferson-Morgan Families, Staff, and Community,
As we begin another exciting year of Jefferson-Morgan athletics, we look forward to welcoming you to all of our home games and events. To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone, please take note of the following guidelines that will be in place across all venues:
Parking: For Varsity Football games at Parker Field, parking is limited. We kindly ask that you carpool when possible. Please be patient and courteous to our workers helping with parking as they work to maximize space. For all home contests on campus, please refrain from parking in the grass. Handicapped parking spots are available on a first-come, first-served basis, and we ask that only vehicles displaying the appropriate placards use these spaces.
Bags and Security: Purses and other bags are subject to search. Backpacks and other large bags are not permitted. Exceptions may be made for special circumstances, such as youth recreation nights when students may need to bring a change of clothes. Diaper bags and other necessary items for young children will also be permitted but are subject to search. Jefferson-Morgan School District Police and additional security personnel will be present at all home events.
Supervision of Students: All middle school and elementary school students must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to gain entrance to an event. Students are not permitted to be dropped off and left unsupervised.
No Re-Entry Policy: Once students enter an event, they will not be allowed to leave and return for any reason. We kindly request that adults also minimize the number of times they enter and exit. Please plan accordingly.
Concession Stands: Full concessions will be available at our events. Please enjoy food and beverages purchased from the concession stands, and be sure to dispose of all trash in the provided trash cans. To maintain safety and cleanliness, please leave all “carried-in” items in your vehicle, including tumblers (Stanleys, Yetis, etc.), bottled or canned beverages, fountain cups, outside food, footballs, and similar items.
Tobacco-Free Campus: Please remember that the use of tobacco products, including vapes and e-cigarettes, is strictly prohibited on all Jefferson-Morgan School District property.
Spectator Expectations: All spectators are expected to remain respectful and positive throughout the event. Please refrain from disruptive behavior or unsportsmanlike conduct. Remember, our students are always watching, and we want to model good sportsmanship for them. All spectators must follow school district policies at all times while on campus.
Student Expectations: All students are expected to be in the stands watching the event or in the designated student section, unless under the supervision of a parent or guardian. We expect our students to follow school district policies at all times while on campus.
Student Attendance: Any student absent for the day, or arriving after 9:00 AM without an excused reason, will not be eligible to attend and/or participate in any extra- or co-curricular activity scheduled for that day.
Fan Ejection Policy (Board Policy 904.2): Jefferson-Morgan School District expects all spectators to demonstrate good sportsmanship and appropriate behavior at school events. Disruptive behavior will result in removal from the event and escalating consequences for repeat offenses, including suspension from future events. Severe infractions may result in immediate long-term bans and possible legal action.
