Jefferson-Morgan’s Mrs. Loring Named Semifinalist for 2026 Pennsylvania Teacher of the Year
Jefferson, PA – Jefferson-Morgan School District is proud to announce that Mrs. Maddie Loring has been named a Semifinalist for the 2026 Pennsylvania Teacher of the Year—a prestigious recognition that places her among the top educators in the state.
Each year, the Pennsylvania Department of Education selects only 30-40 teachers statewide as a semi-finalist for this honor, recognizing those who demonstrate exceptional dedication, innovation, and impact in their classrooms. Mrs. Loring’s passion for student success and her unwavering commitment to education have earned her a spot in this highly competitive selection process.
As a semifinalist, Mrs. Loring will advance to Round 2, where she will complete a recorded interview and submit a classroom teaching segment to showcase her expertise and leadership in education. This stage will allow the selection committee to gain further insight into her teaching philosophy and the positive influence she has on her students.
“We are incredibly proud of Mrs. Loring and this well-deserved recognition,” said Brandon Robinson, Superintendent of Jefferson-Morgan School District. “She brings an unmatched level of energy and positivity not only to her classroom but to our entire school community. Her innovative approach to teaching mathematics engages and challenges students in meaningful ways, creating a dynamic learning environment where all students can thrive. We are excited to support her on this journey and look forward to seeing her continue to make a lasting impact.”
Jefferson-Morgan School District congratulates Mrs. Loring on this outstanding achievement and wishes her the best of luck as she continues in the selection process with the hope of being named a Finalist for the 2026 Pennsylvania Teacher of the Year.
