Jefferson-Morgan School District Designated as a Great Pennsylvania School

Jefferson, PA – May 2025 – Jefferson-Morgan School District has proudly been designated as a Great Pennsylvania School by the Pennsylvania School Boards Association (PSBA). This honor recognizes public schools across the Commonwealth that exemplify academic rigor, community involvement, financial responsibility, and district-wide resilience.

“We are proud and excited to share that Jefferson-Morgan has earned the distinction of being named a Great Pennsylvania School,” said Dr. Brandon Robinson, Superintendent. “This recognition affirms the incredible efforts of our school board, students, staff, families, and community. Every day, we work together to create opportunities, celebrate achievements, and build a better future for our learners—and we are thrilled to see those efforts recognized at the state level.”

Jefferson-Morgan met the criteria across four key areas:
  • Academic Rigor: Certified teaching staff and student access to Career and Technical Education, gifted programs, Advanced Placement courses, and JROTC.
  • Community-Centered Mission: Innovative programming, regular celebrations of student and staff success, and a wide range of academic and extracurricular opportunities.
  • Resilience: A strong focus on emergency preparedness and accessible student mental health supports.
  • Fiscal Health: Independent annual audits, transparent public budget processes, and strict adherence to procurement guidelines.
As part of this designation, Jefferson-Morgan will be presented with a banner from PSBA in the near future, officially marking this milestone. The district will hold this honor through December 2028.
