Congratulations to Maddie Loring. 2026 Pennsylvania Teacher of the Year

It has been a whirlwind 24 hours since the announcement was made, but we want to officially recognize and congratulate Mrs. Maddie Loring on being named the 2026 Pennsylvania Teacher of the Year. It is a tremendous honor to see one of our own recognized at the state level for this outstanding achievement.

Anyone who knows Mrs. Loring knows her unmatched energy, passion for teaching, and the deep care she has for her students. She consistently goes above and beyond to create meaningful learning experiences and strong relationships in the classroom.

Mrs. Loring will have the opportunity to travel across the state to meet and collaborate with educators throughout Pennsylvania. She will also represent the Commonwealth in the 2027 National Teacher of the Year competition.

This recognition is not only about Mrs. Loring. It highlights the high quality of educators in our district, our school, and rural and small schools across Pennsylvania. This is a great honor for our staff, our school, and our community.

And do not worry. Mrs. Loring will be returning to her fourth grade classroom on Thursday and is very excited to see her students and colleagues when she returns.

We are currently working to make Ms. Loring’s full acceptance speech available to view and will share it once it is available.
